A Sound That's Always Known examines my 93-year-old grandmother Evelyn’s experience with aging and Musical Ear Syndrome, a condition causing auditory hallucinations. As phantom sounds filled her home, the once-familiar space became unsettling and disorienting. This project explores how aging alters both the body and the sense of home, turning comfort into uncertainty.
